RIPE TANGERINE -- JUST ANOTHER CRAZY ZEPHEAD'S (JIMMY) PAGE

RIPE TANGERINE

ONE MORE INANE LED ZEPPELIN PAGE WITH A FLAIR

Okay, so yes, I am wasting even more cyberspace room with another fan page devoted to THE GREATEST BAND OF ALL TIME and most of history, ladies and gentlemen, the Led Zeppelin. This site will grow and grow, "and it ALWAYS grows! Push it, push it!" So, yeah... And I hope to get some "Weird Al" Yankovic stuff up here soon as well, because he's a friggin' genius, but for now, just da Zep. This has been delayed too long. So, as always...We're:

UNDER CONSTRUCTION!!!!

I myself, Big Al Burnham, am about to be a sophomore at the COLLEGE OF THE HOLY CROSS in Worcester, MA; thus, my progress in updating may be slow but steady. I am currently a Classics major with an aim to study linguistics and speech therapy, blah blah blah, but at least we do have a really cool (albeit infrequently updated) CLASSICS SERVER in the department for more info about the glory that was, is, and should EVER be ancient Rome and Greece. While we're on the topic of school, here's a term paper I wrote for my senior English class concerning LZ's influence not only on modern metal, but various genres of music. After all, if after only one attempt at reggae in the whole catalog, if they could get a group like Dread Zeppelin to honor them, then damn. I don't believe that this is the final form, since it wound up being 15 pages at the end and this is 11, but this is at least a cheesy rough draft. The random squiggle marks are the characters which bring up the runes in "Zeppelin II" or "Dyer" font, but which were lost in the conversion from a doc to a txt file. Oh, and yeah -- don't forget to get the works cited page to get the references in the body of the text. Hope you'll be pleasantly surprised by the number of articles citing Zep in modern mainstream media!

Look! I already have a hyperlink up! How -- um, unnecessary, yes. But here it goes -- this is the opening lick of "Communication Breakdown" from one of the live recordings I have, Kezar Stadium in San Fran, CA on June 2, 1973. Enjoy!

TODAY'S NEWS -- 7/26/99

Well, I've submitted the URL of this page to different web search engines. Hopefully, someone looking for info on tangerines and being a Zephead will stop by -- and if this description fits you, then a hey how ya doing is in order for ya! I'm gonna leave this link to The Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom Official Homepage so as to provide the entire world, which apparently is still not visiting this page, with info on getting tickets to seeing the world's greatest living musical genius, "Weird Al" Yankovic, on this Saturday night (7/31/99). It promises to be beautiful. Also, I found out that Jeff Strawman, the administrator of the Ring of Zeppelin and former owner of one of the greatest Zeppelin sites on the internet, Achilles [sic] Last Stand (aka fancyketchupguy.com), is NOW back up and running with a smaller but nevertheless formidable page LedZeppelin.org. Good sh*ts on here, and I hope to submit this site to the page as soon as it is worthy of becoming a member of the Ring of Zeppelin. I'm glad to see this great webmaster now rising again.

GOT A PROBLEM with any of this? OR DID YOU FIND THIS WEBSITE NOT THROUGH MY SUGGESTION, AS IN VIA A SEARCH ENGINE?????????? Well, welcome of course, but also contact me at [email protected]! Thanks.
